Hi All,

I found today another nice blog about RF Planning and Optimization and 3G Optimization it is the core activities for Agileto so I add this blog here:

Hi All,.

We have introduce a new concept in licensing:

Basic Licensing (which is FREE online / instant licensing). Disadvantage: the tool doesn't support any 3G vendor with this license. Some modules are not working 100%   Advantage: the licensing process it is instant / online

Enhanced Licensing (a txt license file should be exported from tool and sent by e-mail to sales@... and you will receive a full and FREE license, 100% working - during the Promotional period)

You can download the tool from here:

http://www.agileto.com/setup/Agileto_Setup.exe

The most important it is that: NO Password it is required

The new version of Agileto, will manage automatically the updates to the new versions

Be aware that if you have already Enhanced Licensing, you have to import again the license after installing the new version (just for the first time).

Optimization importance

Agileto provides powerful optimization algorithms and features with a great focus on the neighborhoods declarations as this has a big impact on the mobile user's satisfaction and consequently into the mobile operator's revenues. The great importance of good Neighborhoods declarations is explained below.

It is well known (within the telecom world…) that the performance of one mobile network (3G or 2G) is evaluated by different indicators (KPIs -> Key Performance Indicators) and the most two important indicators are the CDR (Call Drop Rate)and CSSR (Call Setup Success Rate) . Both CDR and CSSR KPIs indicators are ultimately translated into the mobile user (client) satisfaction and it is, therefore, the goal of every mobile operator to try to reduce the CDR and increase CSSR indicators. Achieving this goal provides maximum quality & satisfaction to their mobile users (clients) which will results in more revenue for the mobile operator. Currently another important KPI indicator is the DL/UL data throughput which the mobile user may experience/get as maximum from the mobile operator while the mobile user is moving

More and more mobile users are using their mobile devices in order to perform wireless voice calls & data exchange while they are moving and the ‘success and stability’ of their calls + the values of the DL/UL throughput they get results in their satisfaction with the service.
The major manufactures of the mobile telecomm networks devices (e.g. Ericsson, Nokia-Siemens, Alcatel-Lucent, Huawei, etc) all over the world are trying to implement different algorithms and strategies (which may need to be 3GPP compliant or they may be based on their own algorithms) in an attempt to achieve the maximum client satisfactions using the mobile telecomm networks/operators that use their equipments.

Both mobile network device manufactures and mobile operators are looking to find efficient solutions in order to be able to optimize their mobile networks and to achieve the best KPIs. (As already mentioned for end client satisfaction the most important KPIs are theCSSR + CDR + UL/DL throughput)
Regardless of the specific mobile telecom devices, all vendors & operators are using the same principles of working in mobile telecomm networks which consists of neighborhoods declarations. The importance of the good neighborhoods declarations is extremely important in reaching good KPIs and especially for the three previously mentioned KPIs (CSSR + CDR + UL/DL throughput). Therefore the optimization of the neighborhoods declarations should be one of the basic steps (platforms) on which should be based other specific optimization techniques added by different vendors or mobile operators. The optimization of the neighborhoods declarations should be maintained on a regular basis while the mobile networks evolve (deployments) and/or the mobile operators are changing their strategy in terms of mobility inter-systems and/or inter-carriers.

Additionally to the improvement of the KPIs mentioned above (CSSR + CDR + UL/DL throughput), the good neighborhoods declarations facilitate to have less loading into the mobile network signalizations => more resources available to carry the customer traffic demand, less chance of the network blockage => and ultimately in better mobile user satisfaction and more revenue for the mobile operators.

    Hi All,

We have a very good news for all our existing and future Agileto users, that it is posted also on our web site:

    NEWS: 20th of September 2011:
We moved forward with a big step of getting on-line for FREE the Basic Agileto Licensewhich we hope will make happy many RF engineers. The new Agileto kit allows now for all the users to get on-line (for free) the Basic Agileto License which means that the user is now able to use Agileto tool since its first usage after the installation without waiting for any traditionally licensing process. This is part of our vision and strategy to let as many users to benefit at maximum from our product and associated services.
